1. West Dean Gardens

Just a 25-minute drive from Summer Fields you will find West Dean Gardens. Explore the 100 acres of historic gardens which includes a walled Victorian Kitchen Garden, Sunken Garden, Spring Garden, Arboretum as well as glasshouses. West Dean also offers some great events throughout the year and wit its restaurant overlooking the beautiful Lavant Valley with the river running alongside you can enjoy your lunch and enjoy the views. 2. Arundel Castle

The glorious gardens of the great Arundel Castle are just 30 minutes away from Summer Fields and makes a great day trip for any green fingered garden fans. There is a delight to be found every corner with a Tropical Garden, an English Garden, a Kitchen Garden, a quirky Stumpery as well as glasshouses filled with chillies, grapes, and lemons.

3. Chichester Canal

Ok, so not strictly a garden but the Chichester Canal still offers beautiful scenery and wildlife to be explored. The cancel is the main waterway between historic Chichester and the sea, and it hosts a great range of activities from rowing and rambling to fishing and bird watching. 4. Sussex Prairies Garden

This stunning garden has only been open since 2009 after just one year of planting and is a stunning garden to visit in the heart of West Sussex. Take a roam around the eight acres of beautiful gardens that have been planted around a family farm. 5. RSPB Pagham

Buying a new home in Pagham means you have the coast on your doorstep. The RSPB reserve in Pagham is a ten-minute drive from Summer Fields or a brisk 45-minute walk from your front door. Pagham Harbour is a beautiful natural nature reserve and a home for an array of wetland wildlife.
