Cumbrian Way was developed on a regeneration site Drew Smith purchased from Southampton City Council to deliver a mixed tenure scheme which saw the delivery of 50 new homes, 16 open market sale and 34 affordable rent as well as an element of commercial units.
Drew Smith negotiated and sold the commercial units to a variety of parties, both to commercial enterprises and to commercial landlords. The houses were designed to CfSH level 4 with a mix of sensibly appointed renewable technologies. Throughout the design and planning processes, Drew Smith’s project team went to great lengths to ensure that the development design provided maximum value for the land whilst meeting the local community requirements providing important facilities and links with the local community.
Drew Smith worked collaboratively with affordable housing partner Radian to sell the open market sale homes with consistent marketing and branding messages underpinned by Drew Smiths strong local reputation as a quality house builder.
