The Hatch Farm site was a stalled Local Authority owned 15.9-hectare development located on the outskirts of Southampton. The site, identified by Eastleigh Borough Council for development within their local plan, is located on the land at Hatch Farm.
In order for the site to be brought forward to meet the growing affordable housing requirements of the borough, a collaborative partnership was formed between Eastleigh Borough Council and Radian Homes. The scheme includes an ambitious variety of house and tenure types including bungalows and 1,2 3 and 4-bedrooms homes.
Drew Smith’s involvement in the partnership at the early stages gave Radian the confidence that their consented scheme would be both deliverable and viable and as part of their commitment to zero carbon homes, Radian requested delivery of six Passivhaus Homes. Drew Smith supported Radian with the launch of their open market sale and private rented sector product. Radian were delighted with the professional team at Drew Smith and the scheme was heralded a resounding success and an exemplar example of partnership working.
