This highly successful scheme developed for Poole Housing Partnership delivered mixed tenure homes both affordable rent and shared ownership. This attractive 54-unit scheme delivered additional benefit through an array of communal and community facilities carefully integrated into the overall development.
Drew Smith worked closely with the existing estate management team to ensure that all works, critically the access requirements, were managed to limit the impact on all local residents and the surrounding areas. The planning requirement to achieve a BREEAM rating of Very Good was given early consideration by the project delivery team.
The scheme was assessed under BREEAM 2011 New Construction and a pre-assessment audit was conducted demonstrating indicative building score to achieve the BREEAM rating required. This development was constructed in a BREEAM compliant traditional cavity masonry construction, pre-cast concrete floor beam and staircases with a shallow pitched timber truss roof.
