Councillors from Dorset Council Visit Brewery Place.

Our team at Brewery Place welcomed councillors from Dorset Council at Drew Smith’s site in Blandford.

Councillor Spencer Flower, Leader of the Council and Councillor Andrew Kerby, were shown around by Site Manager, Jason Llewellyn, Steve Clarke, Head of Planning and Yvonne Mills, Head of Partnerships at Drew Smith.

The visit formed a part of the tour of the Winterborne North Ward and the team had the opportunity to see the progress being made within the region. Their tour also included a visit to a local primary school and solar farm.

Steve Clarke said, “We were thrilled to have the opportunity to take the Leader of Dorset Council around our site at Brewery Place today. Significant progress has been made over recent months towards the delivery of 63 new homes on the site, of which, 21 will be delivered as affordable housing for our partner, Stonewater. We are excited to see the first occupations taking place on the site in May of this year.”

Councillor Spencer Flower said, “Dorset Council has big aspirations for how our beautiful county can encourage more renewable energy features into the design of new build properties, providing much-needed homes for the benefit of both current and future generations. It was great to see how our work with Drew Smith is bearing fruit despite the challenges of the last couple of years, and I’m excited to see how Blandford St Mary benefits from these developments going forward.”
