Assistant Site Manager Raises Money for Cancer Research in Charity Boxing Match.

Drew Smith Assistant Site Manager punched his way to victory last weekend in a bid to raise money for Cancer Research.

Joe Nicklin, based at Summer Fields in Pagham, took part in a charity boxing match at the Mountbatton Centre in Portsmouth on Saturday and came out as champion. He fought hard and was declared the winner by technical knockout at the end of the second round in front of an 800 strong audience.

Joe said, “I wanted to do something for Chancer Research after my Grandad passed away and I believe that the work they do is truly amazing. I love a challenge and have done a lot of boxing training to keep fit, I thought that it would be an amazing way to raise funds as well as giving me the opportunity to get involved in my first boxing bout.”

Joe has trained for the match at Fareham Boxing Club but also with Ultra White Collar Boxing which provide a unique experience for people who have no boxing background to compete while raising money for charity.

So far Joe has raised neary £900 to this incredible charity. If you would like to show your support, you can donate to Joe here – www.justgiving.com/fundraising/joe-nicklin1
